"Omaggio" is as much a kind of theatrepiece as it is a conventional 4-hand piano duet. This is because the performers trade places during the piece, often working "inside" the piano (manipulating the strings with various objects) while they are enroute from one side of the piano bench to the other. Through all the commotion, if one listens carefully, one can hear the first page of the famous Mozart Bb Sonata for Piano 4-hands.
"Omaggio" is recorded on 20th Century American 4-hand Piano (Laurel Records LR859CD)
