The opening of Another Dawn is what you heard when you clicked on this website. It is based on the same set of 5 Tang Dynasty poems which furnish the basis for New Dawn and From Dawn to Dawn. Here is what Andrew Malone had to say about its premiere in Washington, D.C.:
"A last-minute illness led the (20th Century) consort to substitute a clarinet for the soprano in Lawrence Moss's Another Dawn which sets poems from the Tao te Ching (sic); Paul Cigan's clarinet tended to blend with the rest of the ensemble, which emphasized Moss's vivid tone-painting." (Washington Post, Oct.18, 2004).
